How To Use The Crafting Planner

Start with the item you actually want to build, not the first ingredient you are missing. The planner is useful because many Subnautica 2 materials sit inside chains: one processed material can require another route, and a rare resource can be better saved for a later module.

Pick the recipe, open each linked material, then decide whether you are ready for a short gather, a planned vehicle trip, or a scouting run. If a material page warns that the route is advanced, do not turn the craft into a one-way swim.

Before Spending Rare Materials

  • Check whether the final craft unlocks a route you need now.
  • Keep raw stock flexible until the last step of the craft.
  • Re-check recipes after Early Access patches or hotfixes.
  • Use storage labels for raw materials, processed materials, and upgrade reserves.
