First-Hour Route

Stay alive, scan efficiently, and postpone deep objectives until your route and gear support it.

1. Stabilize oxygen, food, and water Do not turn the first dive into a deep route. Build a safety buffer before chasing rare materials. 2. Prioritize scanning and starter tools Scan fragments and unlock the core survival/tool chain before Tadpole Pens or deep alien-region routes. 3. Place a compact powered base A small base with storage turns resource trips into planned runs instead of panic inventory management. 4. Mark Silver and Lead search routes Silver and Lead are early recipe blockers. Keep notes on which wreck or node loop actually worked. 5. Treat Angel Comb as a route gate Bring the correct resonator tool and clear connected infected targets before expecting the center to open. 6. Delay Tadpole Pens until prepared Current guides frame Tadpole Pens as a later objective connected to heat tolerance and black box progress.

How To Read This Checklist

This checklist is intentionally conservative. It is not trying to rush you into every marker; it is trying to create a repeatable rhythm: scan, gather, return, store, then choose one next target. That rhythm matters more than speed because Subnautica 2 routes become harder when you are carrying too much, low on oxygen, or unsure how to get home.

When To Reset The Run

If you leave base without a target material, if your inventory fills before you reach the objective, or if a route starts pulling you into a deeper unknown area, reset the plan. Return, store, and turn the next trip into either a scouting run or a single-material route.
